Eva Toorenent

Eva Toorenent, who works as Evaboneva, is a Dutch illustrator and creature designer based in Zandvoort. She is known for cute-creepy, pop-surrealist art, curious creatures and odd little worlds, each built around its own story. She works across illustration, gallery painting, creature design, and book and poster work, often in mixed media.

She studied illustration at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and has worked full-time as an artist since 2019. In 2020 she wrote and illustrated her own book, The Wonderful World of Eva, and her paintings have shown at surrealist galleries internationally, including Haven Gallery, Arch Enemy Arts, and Beinart.

Her clients include Wacom, ImagineFX, 21-Draw, and Jora Vision, and she was an Emerging Artist finalist for the 2025 Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize.
